Idanoo ("the app", "we", "us") is a quit smoking companion app built and operated by Adnan Avdic. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.

Information We Collect

We collect the following information when you use Idanoo:

• Account information — your name and email address, used to create and manage your account.
• Quit data — your quit date, smoking habits, and reasons for quitting, entered during onboarding.
• Journal entries — text you write in the in-app journal. These are stored securely and used to generate AI-powered insights.
• Usage data — information about how you interact with the app (e.g. SOS sessions, milestones reached). Used to personalise your experience.
• Purchase history — records of in-app purchases processed through Apple's App Store, managed via RevenueCat.

How We Use Your Information

All data collected is used exclusively to provide and improve the Idanoo experience:

• To authenticate your account and keep your data synced across sessions.
• To personalise Idanoo's responses, tips, and SOS support based on your profile.
• To generate journal insights using AI (your entries are sent to our secure API, not stored by third-party AI providers).
• To track your subscription and unlock premium features.

We do not use your data for advertising, tracking across other apps, or selling to third parties.

Third-Party Services

Idanoo uses the following third-party services:

• Supabase — secure database and authentication. Your account data and journal entries are stored here.
• RevenueCat — manages in-app purchases and subscriptions. Does not store payment card details.
• Anthropic (Claude API) — processes your journal entries and chat messages to generate AI responses. Messages are not retained by Anthropic beyond the API call.
• Resend — sends transactional emails (e.g. OTP verification codes) from hello@idanoo.app.

Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely in Supabase with row-level security. Only you can access your own data. We use encrypted connections (HTTPS) for all data transmission.

Data Retention

Your data is retained for as long as your account exists. You can delete your account at any time from within the app (Settings → Delete Account), which permanently removes all your data from our systems.

Children's Privacy

Idanoo is not intended for users under the age of 12. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your account and all associated data.
• Withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
